  • Judiciary Act

    A U.S. federal statute. Established in the first session of the First United States Congress.
  • Election of 1800

    During this time, John Adams ran against Thomas Jefferson. Adams was a Federalist and Jefferson was a Republican. In the end, Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr both ended up winning an identical amount of votes which led to the House of Representatives to choose who would become president.
  • D.C. Capital

    The Capital was moved from New York, to Philadelphia, to it's final remaining location, in Washington D.C. where it still continues to exist today.
  • Jefferson's Inaugural Address

    Jefferson's Inaugural Address addressed the first time the presidency had moved from one party to another. Jefferson wanted to use his inauguration to heal the falling out in between Federalists and Republicans.
  • Louisiana Purchase

    The Louisiana Purchase happened in 1803 when the United States obtained land from France which makes up a third of what subsists as the United States of America.
  • Marbury vs. Madison

    Marbury vs. Madison was a course case that was considered an act of Congress unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court.
  • The War of 1812

    The War of 1812 is known as a conflict that was fought by the United States and its allies against the United Kingdom and its allies.
  • The Battle of the Thames

    This battle took place during the War of 1812 which ended with an American victory against Tecumseh's Confederacy.
