    Canada goes to War
    Canada stands strong and honorable fights in the War in 1914. I would rate this nor a + or a -. I would say it was a 0, my reasoning for this was because many lives were taken in the war but without it we may not have got all the benefits we have today.
  • War with Canada ends

    War with Canada ends
    Canada strongly ends the war with many men dead and injured. I feel this was a +2 because many people were injured, yet sacrificed their lives to allow us to live a better one today.
  • Immigration act

    Immigration act
    In 1919, Prime Minister Borden amended the immigration act allowing all Indian immigrants living in Canada to bring their wives and children under the age of 18. I would rank this a +2 because it showed how we welcomed many different cultures to our country.
  • Voting and rights

    Voting and rights
    In 1919 the league of Indians of Canada was founded. This was meant for these people to be able to vote and have other rights. I would rank this a +2 because this showed we were multicultural and were fair with every culture.
  • The Group of Seven

    The Group of Seven
    In 1920 the group of seven was officially formed. They were committed to painting a distinct Canadian form of art. (captured Canadian landscape). I would rank this a +1 because I feel that this was important, it introduced us to different kinds of art and how meaningful it could be.
  • Roaring Twenties inventions

    Roaring Twenties inventions
    In the 1920s radio and other new inventions that could run off of electricity were invented. I would rate this a +2 for the reason being that this was a big deal for Canada. It was the time where everyone was rebuilding their lives and Canada was becoming great again.
  • Grey- Dort automobiles

    Grey- Dort automobiles
    In 1921 the Grey-Dort automobile was released at $1,465. I would rate this a +2 because it showed how we had evolved from war and the things we were creating.
  • Chinese Immigration Act

    Chinese Immigration Act
    This was an act that excluded people with a Chinese background from Canada. This was meant that if someone Chinese went back to their hometown for more then 2 years they would not be aloud back in Canada. I would rate this a -2 because it showed how we excluded people at this time and were unfair.
  • Factory workers

    Factory workers
    The Great West Garment factory expanded and in 1928 there more Canadians working in factories then ever before.
  • Female athletes

    Female athletes
    In 1928 Canadian female athletes competed in the summer Olympics for the first time. I feel this was important and rate it a +2 because it showed how much respect we gained for women and respected what they enjoyed.
