    the colonists had a lot of crops so the started shipping tabbaco corn rice to England. From England, they went to Africa to get and slaves gun ammunition .from Africa they went back to north America to unboard the goods . The colinest sent less than they got so that was a big problem.

    After helping establish the first English settlement on the Island of Roanoke, off the coast of modern day North Carolina, John White reluctantly returned to England for supplies. Delayed by war for three years, he returns in 1590 to find the colonists but they are gone. There was a mark on a tree that had a Native Americans. It is still not known what happened to them.

He forms Providence, which will be the capital of Rhode IslandWith his followers. He fled to Narragansett Bay, where he purchased land from the Narragansett Indians and established a new colony, which became a haven for Baptists, Quakers, Jews and other religious minorities.

However, the Great Dismal Swamp made it seem that anything south of James Town was not worth pursuing. Soon, intrepid explorers discovered that the Great Dismal Swamp did not go on forever and there were actually "wonderful lands" within a few days' trek south of James Town.     Persecuted in England for his Quaker faith, Penn came to America in 1682 and established Pennsylvania as a place where people could enjoy freedom of religion. The colony became a haven for minority religious sects from Germany, Holland, Scandinavia, and Great Britain. Penn obtained the land from King Charles II as payment for a debt owed to his deceased father.

Concord in Massachusetts and marked an ideological expansion of the conflict that would eventually involve France’s intervention on behalf of the Americans.
