Uncle Toms Cabin was a book written by Harriet E. Beecher. This book was a great book in the north. It was a story about how a little boy dealt with slavery, which totally backed their claim. Even though the south loved this book the south banned it. Showing society the truth about slavery was not an option. They needed any of the votes they could get. Banning the book didn't mean no one in the south didn't get their hands on it lots of slave owners changed their minds and released their slaves. -
