Many pilgrims moved from Holland on July 22nd sailing to Southampton. Later on in time they met with other separatists to sail alongside the Mayflower leaving September 6 1620.

Winthrop won the governorship 12 times in a row serving in the Massachusetts Bay Company. The magistrate believed he owed his position (if not its powers) to the voters, who could remove him.

In 1638 Ms.Hutchinson formed a settlement which is now Portsmouth on the island of Aquidneck. She is also known as one of the co-founders of Rhode Island.
