    German troops had to wait for supplies to come to them before invading paris but before the supplies arrived allied forces attacked and pushed the germans back. Warm and mild. France and Germany were fighting each other. 698000 battlefield deaths. Machine guns,artillery and infantry. Tanks were not used until later in the war, at the battle of Cambrai. French won this war.

    What led to this was when the German attempt to break through the British lines at the end of the 'ace to the sea in 1914. It was a bit breezy, the weather varied. Germans, Canadians, and Britain's were involved. 369,000 people died. Used chlorine gas. Allies won.

    What led to this was the first battle of Ypres. Allies and Germans were involved. Spring like weather.Used chlorine gas. The Allies had 60,000 casualties, the Germans had a total of 35,000 casualties. Germans won.

    What led to this battle was to take the pressure off the French army,which had been under attack from the Germans since February at Verdun, and was close to breaking. It was hot and humid weather. People involved were the British, Germans, and the French. 418,000 casulities. What was used as weapons were Rifles, machine guns, bombs, grenades, light and heavy artillery, gas shells, bayonets, sharpened spades, fighting knives and the first use of tanks. Central Powers won.

    he Battle of Verdun in 1916 was the longest single battle of World War One. The Germans were trying to get past Verdun to capture Paris, and the French wouldn't allow it. The weather was snowy and also cold. The people involved were the french and germans. 700,000 people died. Machine guns, rifle, sniper rifles ,grenades, and flamethrowers were used in this battle.The battle was decided in the favor of the French when the Germans finally withdrew.

    The reason this happened was because of the battle of both the first and second battles of Ypres. It had extrreme rainfull, the battlefield was a muddy swamp. Involved British, ANZAC, and Canadian troops against the Germans. 250,000 people died on each side. New weapons were mustard gas and machine guns. Germans lost.

    Germans attacked the line. Was cold and snowy. British and Germans were involved. German losses: approx. 50,000 - British: 45,000. Tanks and machine guns were used. British won.
  • Second Battle Of Marne

    Germany tried a counterattack. It was hot since the summer. 8 US Divisions took part. They lost 12,000 dead and wounded.
    3rd US Infantry Division were called Rock Of Marne after their resistance to the German attack on the south bank of the Marne. Same weapons, just Mark IV tanks used by German troops was added. French and US won.
