    The Bloodbath War(Part 1)
The events of the Lexington and Concord is one of the most significant points of revolution because the colonists proved they would fight and die for their freedom; a real war. It also was a real point of events because the British expected the Americans to break and run but the Minutemen stood their ground and fired back. In April 1775 General Gage had just received information that colonists were hiding large amounts of gunpowder.

Gage decided to march to Lexington to take the supplies, but Paul Revere and William Daves were watching their every step and warned all the colonists. When the British came marching toward the small city a “shot heard ‘round the world” and the British and Colonists started firing. When the battle was over the colonists were limping away or lying dead on the ground.

Then, the British went on their way to Concord, only to be stopped by Minutemen. The British expected the colonists to run, but they stood their ground and fired back. The publication of Common Sense was an important event because Paine’s arguments and persuading showed that colonists didn’t owe any loyalty to the king and that we should live in independence and freedom. Paine proved so by saying that the British claimed that the colonies’ ties to Britain was beneficial; the opposite was true. American trade suffered under British control and America had been hurt by being dragged into Britain’s European wars.

The Signing of Independence is considered a significant event because without this event, they would never have natural rights which means to obey the king in whatever he commands, believing that all authority came from God. The Signing of the Independence showed that all people are born equal in God’s sight meaning their government’s power to rule should come from “the consent of the governed.”

The Battle of Saratoga was one of the most significant events in the American Revolution because it marked a turning point in the war. This war gave the patriots hope and also helped gain the trust of the French. The slow-moving troops of Johnny Burgoyne had just arrived in Saratoga Springs only to be greeted by the large rebel army. The ignorant Burgoyne kept ordering attacks on the militia and over and over the rebels beat them back. Eventually Burgoyne surrendered to the militia on October 17

This victory gave the Americans hope to fight back because they showed that they can stand up to the British Army. Also, this victory proved to the French that the American were a worthy investment of their time and money. Meaning, the French now knew that they could form an alliance with the Americans which will be worthwhile to defeat their common enemy, the British.
