  • Jamestown Founded

    The London Company founded Jamestown on May 14, 1607 as the first paermanent settlement. They landed next to a river but most people died from marshes full of disease-carrying mosquitoes.

  • New York Founded

    In 1613, New York was founded by a dutch and this colony was first called New Netherland to now New York.

  • Virginia Founded

    Virginia was founded in 1619 by the London Company and it is royal colony and it is the expansion of Great Britain.

  • Massachusetts Plymouth Founded

    Massachusetts Plymouth was founded in 1620 by the Pilgrams and Puritans, it was for religous freedom from the Mayflower Compact.

  • New Hampshire founded

    New Hampshire was founded by Captian John Mason good for a fishing and exetor compact. In 1679 King Charels the second found it and then it was for religous freedom and planned for a government.

  • Massachusetts Bay Colony Founded

    Massachusetts Bay Colony was founded in 1629 by the Pilgrams and Puritans found it for religous freedom and they had to obey to English laws.

  • Maryland Founded

    Maryland was founded in 1634 by George Calvert and it is an proprietary royaland it was to to be a refuge for English Catholics

  • Rhode Island founded

    Rhode Island was founded in 1639 and Roger William found it for religous freedom and separation of church and state. In 1663 Anne Huctinson found it for still religous freedom.

  • Delaware Founded

    William Penn founded Delaware in 1638 for trade and agriculture.

  • Connecticut Founded

    Connecticut was founded by Thomas Hooker and this colony was for religous freedom of the set of principles made connecticut's government made it more democratic.

  • Toleration Act of 1649

    This bill made it a crime to restrict the religious rights of Christians.

  • New Jersey Founded

    New Jersey was founded in 1664 and John Berkeley found it, this was a proprietary colony until it change to a royal colony.

  • Pennslyvania Founded

    Pennslvania is Penn's colony and his Quakers helped him find it for religous freedom.

  • South Carolina founded

    South Carolina was founded in 1712 and James Oglethorpe found it and it is a proprietary colony and this colony was for more land.

  • North Carolina founded

    North Carolina was also for more founded in 1712 by James Ogletorpe also a proprietary colony.

  • Georgia founded

    Georgia was founded in 1732 and James Oglethorpe as a proprietary colony and then go to a royal colony.
