  • The Refrigerator

    The Refrigerator was created during the 1920's. It was one addition to the consumer product boom of the 1920's which helped start the great depression.

  • The Electronic Television

    The electronic television was created on September 7th 1927.
    This was one of several electronics that contributed to the consumer industry boom of the 1920's.

  • The Microwave

    The first household microwave over was invented after the discovery of microwaves themselves during World War II. The first one was sold in 1946.

  • The Satellite

    The first American Satellite was created on January 31st 1958. It was designed to measure radiation in the earth's atmosphere.

  • Headphones

    The first headphones were invented in 1958. This was a huge invention in several ways. They could be used to block sound or to listen to music.

  • NASA

    NASA was established on July 29th, 1958. This began the use and demand for space technology like rockets and satellites.

  • The Compact PDP-11

    This was one of the first models of the computer invented. It would later be overtaken by new successor quickly but it still stands today as the first step in our modern technology as far as computers are involved.

  • The Floppy Disk

    The Floppy disk was first created in 1967 and was used with personal computers for storing information on disks that could be stored in computers. It was later replaced by the CD.

  • The Electric Handheld Calculator

    The first electric handheld calculator was invented in 1967 and innovated how we could solve complex equations efficiently and anywhere.

  • The Microprocessor

    The first Microprocessor was created by Intel. A significant part of computers as we know them today.

  • The Magnavox Odyssey

    The Magnavox Odyssey was the first video game console created. It was invented in 1972 and started an entire industry that would become a major part of our society today.

  • The cellular phone

    The first wireless cellular phone was created on April 3rd, 1973 at a relatively large size. The first call was made from Manhattan to New Jersey.

  • The MITS Altair 8800

    The MITS Altair 8800 was the first personal computer made. This established computers in public places for public use as well as personal uses for those whom purchased them for their homes. It used the Intel 8080 CPU.

  • The Apple Calculator

    The first product by the now huge company, Apple, was created. The apple calculator established the start of the company.

  • The Compact Disk

    The Compact Disk (CD) was created in 1982 and replaced the Floppy disk. It became a better and generally more popular way to store information.

  • The "Network of Networks"

    In 1983 the Network of Networks began to assemble and later became the modern Internet.

  • The Macintosh

    The first Macintosh was created in 1984 by Apple. This was the first introduction to their now popular line of computers we use today.

  • Windows 1.0 Created

    The first version of Windows, revolutionary with it's purpose. Was released to the public starting a change towards the way computers are used.

  • Windows 1.0 Created

    The first version of Windows, an operating system revolutionary in it's time, was created and released to the public starting a change towards how computers will be used.

  • The World Wide Web (Internet)

    The World Wide Web was created and released for public use. This changed the way we can communicate, understand cultures and research. Many opportunities came about with the internet.

  • Windows 95

    Windows 95 was a milestone in operating systems. It's improvement over the previous iteration of windows was significant and easily noted.

  • Google

    Google was first established in 1998. It became one of the largest companies as of present and changed the world of online as we know it.

  • The Iphone

    The firs Iphone was created in 2007. This started the boom of hand-held technology and what it could do.

  • Windows 7

    Windows 7 was the most efficient, modern version of Windows to date until the later release of Windows 10.

  • The Chromebook

    The Chromebook was created in the recent year of 2011. The Chromebook then continued it's legacy of being one if the worst, inefficient pieces of technology ever used in practical business environments and by poor schools.

  • Windows 10

    Windows 10 was released July 19th, 2015. This was the most modern version of windows yet. It's efficiency improved over even that of Windows 7.
