    Over the summer, Zack Jennings, his father, George, an his cool new stepmom, Judy, moved to North Chester, Connecticut. Zack has this cool, but creepy ability to see ghosts, and he gets to meet many new ghosts at his new school, Horace P. Pettimore Middle School, which is haunted.

    The Janitor finds a stone that has alien-like hieroglyphsand one english sentance that says " TURN BACK NOW OR DESCEND TO HELL", but he doesn't listen to the warning and McNulty ends up biting him and turning him into a zombie.

    Zack and Malik figure out what the stone said and found tunnels to Pettimore's treasure.

    Eddie becomes the new janitor, and acidently left the school doors open. Zipper came flying in, looking for Zack. The vice principal chaced the dog while he found Zack in history. After history, they go to the basement/janitor's closet.

    Ms. Dubois finds out that Zack can see ghosts, and invites Zack on a field trip to the cemetery, when she just wants Zack to talk to John Cooper.

    Azalea gets possessed by Pettimore and goes to find the gold. Ms. DuBois and Eddie try to force Zack to speakto John Cooper, but his friends save him and he finds Malik trying to crack a code in the tunnels. Ms. DuBois and Eddie follow them.

    Zack and Malik find Azaelea (who is possessed) and she has Pettimore's gold. Eddie tries to follow them, but his brains turn to zombie food. The donelly brothers put Ms. DuBois in a death trap, so they finally get to go to heaven.

    Zack finds McNulty's soul in a jar and releases it. A voodoo witch trapped Pettimore's soul, letting Azaelea become her own self.
