    Vladimir Lenin, the Bolshevik leader led the leftist revolutionaries in nearless bloodless uprising at the capitial of Russia (Petrograd) at the time, against the Kerensky Provisional Government. The Bolsheviks took over major government facilities before an assualt on the Winter Place took place. The Bolsheviks insurgents had little opposition so they were basically able to walk into the building and take it over.
