On the twentyth day of october in the year 1774, unfair taxation was taking place wich made colonies face trouble. The british parliament did not have enough representaion and there was it was lacking colonial freedom. -
The Revolutionary War breaks out
Before the revolutionary war broke out, a church in boston had lights which showed the patriots that the redcoats were on their way. The redcoats wanted weapons from concord so they crossed the river to charles town. When the patriots knew they were coming,some of them went out to warn people. One of them was a man known as Paul Revere. -
The start of the 2nd continental congress
the second continental congress was formed by the representatives of the 13 colonies. As this occured in the statehouse of philadelphia, war was spreading while american fighters from new york caputured fort ticonderoga. Also, militias was taking positionin hills around boston. -
The Battle of Bunker Hill
This was the second and most bloodiest battle of the Revolutionary War. It started when Militiamen made a fort overlooking the Boston Harbor. They went into war and the Militiamen ran out of gun powder, so the British won. -
Washington takes command in Boston
A month after the American defeat in Bunker Hill, General Washington took command of the militias around Boston. His plan was to drive the redcoats from the city if Britain refused to accept America's offer of peace -
Cannons in Boston pointed directly at enemy
When George Washington learned that the King declared war on all the colonies, Washington went into action. He gave his troops orders to have many cannons brought from far-off Fort Ticonderoga. The only way he could do that was to wait for snow in order to drag the heavy cannons on sleds to Boston. By March, the cannons were ready and were pointed directly toward the enemy. Realizing that they had been trapped and outsmarted, the British dumped their own cannons into the harbor and sailed off. -
Declaration Of Independence
On the day June 4, 1776, Thomas Jefferson and more members from a congressional committee were writing the declaration of independence. This document was known as the most famous historical document. The document said that all men were born with a certain kind of rights and to be treated equally. it also said that britan had taken away some rights and declared america to be independent. -
Battle with the Hessians
British soldiers hired Hessians, or German troops, to attack New York City. After a lot of fighting, Briaish soldiers chased Washington's army to Pennsylvania. -
Crossing the Delaware river
Washington and his men crossed the Delaware River on Christmas night because they knew their enemies would be drinking and would be incapable of fighting back. They suprised the British in New Jersey and won the Battle at Trenton. -

The War Is Over
French ships carrying Britain's supplies was forced to turn around because it was being shot at. this caused the British to surrender because they were trapped in America, they wera outnumbered, and they were out of supplies.
