The Battle of Lexington and Concord took place when 700 Redcoats march in to to face 77 Minnutemen in Lexington, MA. They easily beat the Minutemen. The Redcoats march on to Concord, MA to face 400 Minutemen. The British retreat and this signals the beginning of the war.

The British won after three attemps to take over the Bunker Hill but lost a lot of men. The Minutemen were told "Do not shoot until you see the whites of their eyes" because they were low on ammo. The colonists gained confidence even though they lost.

The Battle of Yorktown signified the end of the war. The French Navy blocked the harbor so the British couldn't escape.

The Treaty of Paris was the official signed document ending the war. The U.S got independence and more land.
