    The battle at Lexington and Concord was an important event in the American Revolution it because it was the first battle for the Americans in their fight for freedom from the British. In the morning of April 19, 1775, the Battle of Lexington was a quick battle that ended with the British victory due to the Minutemen’s unawareness of the enemy.

    Later that day, the Minutemen and the British had another fight at the North Bridge of Concord. This time, the Minutemen won. This battle proved that the Minutemen are brave, had good teamwork, and were determined to keep on fighting for their rights even though they lost the battle at Lexington and Captain Davis was shot.

    The second most important event was the the Crossing of the Delaware or the Battle of Trenton because this event electrified the Patriots and encouraged the troops to continue fighting for liberty. They were also able to collect some prisoners. On December 25, 1776, Washington told his army the password to march forward that was “Victory or Death”.

    During this night, the troops crossed the icy Delaware River, marched against a snowstorm, and attacked the Hessian mercenaries even though they had to use bayonets instead of guns. The Patriots caught the surprised mercenaries, who quickly surrendered. This event showed the British that the Patriots are very determined, that they were willing to suffer to fight for the people’s freedom and rights.

    The events that occurred at the Battle of Saratoga were the most significant because they were the main turning point of the American Revolution. On October 17, 1777, Washington’s troops were able to defeat Burgoyne’s armies. This victory was important because it proved that the American’s were able to stand up to the British and win. Also, France and Spain became allies of the Americans.

The Americans who were watching, however, were proud and joyful that the war was over, and that America has won against Great Britain in the fight for freedom. The Americans proved that they were ingenious, determined, and patriotic.
