    Brazil is split into 13 territories

    The crown divdes Brazil and establishes the Captaincies of Brazil. This is not the exact date but it was within the year of 1534.
  • Passports become required to travel to brazilian colonies by the crown

    The crown was afraid that many people were going to rush to Brazil after the discovery of gold and try to take it for themselves the crown decied to regulate the population going to Brazil by making it law that only those with passports who were travelling to conduct official business could travel to Brazil. Not the exact date but correct year.
  • The Crown decides to not create mines on the coast.

    The crown made the decsion to not create any mines along the coast like Itabaiana in Serpie and Castelo in Espirito that could be at risk of foriegn invasion. not exact date
  • The King pays attention to problems occuring in the mines and raises the salaries of the law enforcement.

    After many letters from the colonies to the king, he finally pays attention to them and learns that their is a high crime rate occuring at the mine and that workers are lacking work ethic. In an attempt to fix the situation he raises the pay of the law enforcemnt in the area in hopes of better regulation of the colonies.
