In the XVI. century the graphite was dicovered in Cumbria, England and they started to draw with it.

Two centuries later in the XVIII century an Italian inventor added wood to the graphite, so he made the first pencil.

Finally in the XIX century they attached an eraser to the end of the pencil because of the request of the people, some of them were made with plastic. Now we continue using that type of pencils.
