    The articles of confederation established a very weak central goverenment for the US. Under the Articles each state would select a delgation to send to the capitol to be in the congress.

    George Washington wa a military general and a political leader during the revolutionary war. After the war Washington was asked to become president because of his actions through out his life.

    Once the Constitution was written delegates from the Philadelphia Convention rushed home to begin the campaign for ratification. It took them a while but it was finally ratified once Rode Island was the final state to ratify it.

    The Spanish were afraid that The British and the Americans might join forces to take away Spai's holdings in North America. Spain quickly offered to negotiate all outstanding issues with the United States, so they signed the treaty.
