    Temujin rose to power by forming an army of his own. He then was accepted as the emperor of all the steppe people. This is when he gained the Genghis Khan title, which means “universal ruler”

    Ogedi Khan passes

    Ogedi Khan dies while drinking. Some people think he purposefully did it by accepting a poisoned drink, but some think someone slipped poison in his alcohol and he was killed. His death prevents Batu from invading Western Europe.

    After Ogodeis passes, his widow, named Torengene, started to rule the empire through consent from the Mongol Nobles.

    Guyuk

    Torengenes son, Guyuk, becomes the great Khan
  • 1248

    Guyuk passes

    Guyuks widow, Ogul Gamish, becomes the temporary ruler for three years after he dies.
