The Ming Dynasty is created by Zhu Yuanzhang. This dynasty follows the Yuan dynasty, whuch Zhu Yuanzhang helped to overthrow.

Zhu Yuanzanq starts the dynasty by claiming himself emporer of China. He ends the Yuan dynasty, even though oddly his name has Yuan in it. He was born in 1328 to a poor family. His parents died when he was a child so he was forced to fend for himself by begging and such. He joins the army in 1352 and becomes the revolt leader against the Yuan. Soon he ends up as emporer.

Zhu Yuanzhang dies. Although the month and day is not completely certain, he did die in 1398 at the age of 71. June 24th is the day he is believed to have died.

Zhu Yunwen becomes the emporer of China. He is Zhu Yuanzang's grandson. Origionally, Zhu Biao, Zhu Yunwen's father and Zhu Yuanzang's son was going to inherit the the throne, but he died early on and Zhu Yunwen was next in line. He comes to power as a result of Zhu Yuanzhang's death.

The Forbidden City becomes under construction. When it is done, it will be the palace to house to emporer of China and his family.

The Forbidden City is completed. From the Forbidden City, the emporer's ruled China. However, it is short lived as only 24 of the Ming emporers live there and then the Qing emporers, which are the last dynasty. The Forbidden City is now a museum.

The Book Journey to The West is written and published. The Book tells about a monk's journey to India and the mythical creatures including the monkey king that he meets along the way.
