    On May 2nd,African American children and young people gather for a demonstration in Birmingham,Alabama.More than 900 are arrested.The next day,thousands of more children gathered to protest.The police used dogs and fire hoses to stop them and arrest more than 2,500 protesters,mostly children.After the violence of the police was shown on television,other people started getting angry,including JFK.
