Amir and Hassan's friendship falls apart
After the kite fights, Hassan was in danger,however, Amir did not decide to help him. In result of this, the two boys' friendship began to fall apart. The book states "For a week, I barely saw Hassan".(80). This quote demonstrates that loyalty is important within friendships. Being a loyal friend means that you will stand by your friend no matter what;Amir did not do this.Amir's way of not defending Hassan did not show loyalty at all, therefore, the friendship between Amir and Hassan fell apart. -
