As Amir grew up as a child he always wanted his dad to give him attention.If Amir won the Kite flying contest he thought his dad would admire him more. Amir and Hassan won the contest. Hassan promised to get the blue kite they had cut to win the contest, after a while Amir goes looking for Hassan where is no where to be found.

Amir and Baba leave everything behind and flee to Pakihistan on their way over the through the checkpoint kariam had arranged to pass ,but as they psss the russian said that the price was half an hour with one of the ladies on the truck and baba wouldnt allow it.Baba risked his life for a married couple and they greatly appriciated it.Which were then passed onto a fuel truck to make the full voyage.

In the Calisium the Taliban stoned "sinners" infront of everyone which they said was "word from god". They carried out Shari'a and say she has to be punished for not respecting marriage and that every sinner diserves a punishment as bad as what she did.They stone her until she dies and has everyone in the stands watching.

Rahim Khan calls Amir and tells him he wants him to go to Pakistan to see him.Rahim Khantells Amir they need to talk and at the end of the convesation he says "There is a way to be good again." so at that point Amir knows Rahim Khan knows what Amir had done to Hassanand he tells Soraya hes going to Pakistan to visit Rahim.

Finding Sohrab

Amir goes to Afganistan to look for sohrab, at the house Amir see"s Assef his childhood enemy.Assef keep Sohrab and made him dress in women cloths and made him dance, and maybe even raped him.The only way Amir could get Sohrad back was letting Assef beat him up which he did until Sohrad hit Assef in the eye with a sling shot, and they ran away and were chased but left in no danger.

Amir and Sohrab went to a park where people were flying kites, Amir hadnt flown a kite since winter in 1975 when we won the kite contest.This day Amir offered Sohrab to fly a kite with Sohrab. Amir showed Sohrab the way him and his dad Hassan had flown kites when they were kids and that made Sohrad smile for the first time since his parents had been killed.
