    -Nazi government prepares the German public for war

    2nd Phase: Expansion and violence: September 1939 - June 2947
    -WWII starts with German invasion of Poland
    -Nazi expands to Poland into Western Europe, the Netherlands, Belgium, and also Norway and Denmark
    - Germany invades the Soviet Union
  • 3rd Phase: Dedication to Mass Killing 1941 - 1944

    3rd Phase: Dedication to Mass Killing 1941 - 1944
    -Soviets prisoners of war, Jews of Eastern Europe, Western, Southern Europe were sent to Auschwitz to be killed.
    -Hitler and his advisors decide to annihilate all of the Jews in Europe
    --Six killing centers were established, where millions of Jews, Sinti and Roma, and other groups were murdered in gas.

    -Liberation of Auschwitz
    -Killing centers and camps were closed or liberate the prisoners
    -Prisoners of camps were forced to march from eastern Europe toward Germany
