  • GM-NAA I/O

    Developed by Robert Patrick. He worked for General Motors. It was used in their IBM 704 mainframe. Designed to switch to a new job upon finishing its current job. Only about 40 were used.
  • MCP (Master Control Program)

    Made by Burroughs Corporations. Used in their B5000 mainframe. Still in use today.
  • DOS/360

    DOS/360
    Developed by IBM after many failed attempts. It put IBM ahead of the game in hardware and the Operating System industries.
  • Unix

    Made by Ken Thompson, Dennis Ritchie, Douglas Mcllroy and Joe Ossanna. They worked for AT&T Bell. Written in C, which mae it easier modified, better accepted and improved portability
  • Cp/M

    By IBM. This OS had a great variety
  • BSD

    Another Unix Variant. Produced by Bell labs
  • MS-DOS

    Developed by Microsoft. The first home user operating system.
  • Sun OS

    Created by SunMicrosystems. It was based on BSD. unix variant.
  • Mac OS

    Created by Apple Computers for their new Macintosh PC. First OS to have a GUI built in.

    Created by IBM and Microsoft. Didnt gain much popularity.
