The History of Brookland By meg92295 Aug 12, 1881 Brookland's First School Dec 18, 1893 The original school was sold to the Methodist church Jan 1, 1900 In the early 1900s a second school was built in the vicinity of the present Baptist church just west of U.S. Hwy 49 Jan 1, 1911 The third school was built as a two story brick building Jan 1, 1938 The first graduating class left Brookland Jan 1, 1948 The first highschool was built Jan 1, 1951 The old gymnasium burnt down and was replaced with the current old gym Jan 1, 2013 A new enterance was built onto the main highschool building while the old building was torn down for a new courtyard
