    The Great Awakening
    The Great awakening was a revoultion in religon for the colonists. Church officials begin thinking that people were loosing commitment to their churches and need to get thier loyalty back. They begin revoulionizing their speeches and practices. All in all the Great awakeneing got many people back to their religon.

    Proclomation Act
    The Proclomation was past because the Brittsh was getting overwhelmed with trying to maintain and keep controll of the Colonist moving west of the colonial lands. This outraged Colonists and people that were living past the lands were forced to move back. But soon later the War ended and Colonists were free to move further into Native lands.

    Sugar Act
    With the French and Indian war creating a huge dent in the Brittish finances, they looked toward the Colonists to pay for the war with the sugar act. The sugar act was a tax on all tea, and sugar products. Many Colonists begin questioning this tax and complaining that it was unfair that they had no consent in this tax. As a response the King replaced this tax with the Stamp Act.

    The French and Indian War
    The French and Indian war caused many more conflicts in the future. To summarize, this war was mainly betweeen the Brittish and French with different Indians fighting for each side. This war is usually called the Seven Years War. Soon later the Brittish won the French and Indian War and Colonists soon begin to move into Indian lands. This started causing conflicts with local Natives and soon would launch the Proclomation Act.

    The stamp act was an tax on all items with ink or stamps. This tax was a replacement for the sugar act to pay for the debts of the French and Indian War. Many Colonist became enraged with this outragous tax and begin boycotting the stamps. Eventually the King removed this tax.

     The Townshed acts
    At around 1767 parliment decided to pass taxes which taxed all small, simple items like glass, paints, lead etc. This was called the Townshed acts. This tax was simply made to go striaght to the goverment official's pockets and to pay for debts from the war. Colonists begin fighting back from these taxes and begin smuggling in items, so the Brittish begain making large arrests and making search warrents to arrest smugglers. The colonists eventually decided to stop buying these materials and

  • Massacre at boston

    Massacre at boston
    The Boston Massacure was a horrible insident where a colonist got into an arguement with a brittsh soldier. Whitnesses say he threw a snowball at the soldier and a larger group of brittish soldiers arrived and begin harassing the colonist. Many colonists begin supporting their fellow neighbor and the brittish fired opon them killing five and wounding more.

    At around 1773 The Brittish begin noticing the large amount of tea products the colonists were inporting and started making large amount of taxes on the tea. The colonists became enraged with this and when a brittish ship arived to the harbor colonist officials demanded that they do not unload their cargo. Confused, the brittish traders anchored in the harbor with no idea what to do. This lead to the Boston Tea Party.

    With the ships anchored and unable to do anything. The sons of liberty decided to take a stand and disguse as Indians and raided the boat. They tossed all the cargo off the ship. This angerd the Brittsh and led to the Indolorable acts.

    Battle of Lexington Concord
    The Battle of Lenxington Concord was a battle among many towns such as Lexington, Concord, Menotomy and many others. The Brittish troops were aquired very secret orders to attack and destroy hidden military supplies at Concord. About 700 troopers set out and imdeditly ran into local milita. The milita, outnumberd and retreated. As they regrouped at Conford's North Bridge they single handedly killed three compainies of the Royal Army.

    Battle Of Bunker Hill
    The Battle of Bunker hill is named after the Hill, Bunker Hill. The Brittish Troops were given orders to take the hills around Boston. Little did they know the Continental Army had already had the hills under their control. As the Brittsh attacked they suffored heavy losses. after their third wave of soilders the Brittish had succeeded. With about 800 wounded and 230 dead, the Colonists thought of it as a victory.

    The Decleration of Independence shows reasons why the colonists want Independence from Great Brittian. It says that when a goverment becomes corrupt or unable to rule correctly that the people have a right to declare independence when they see fit. It states that they should have a right to trade with who they want, only make neccisary taxes and that there is certain rights you just can't take away from a person, and that all men are created equal. to summarize, it declears independence.

    Common Sense by Tomas Paine argues for America's right for Indepence. Tomas starts by seperating and comparing the goverment and the people. He basicly states that Goverment should protect the people and that is its only soul purpose.   • The Battle of Yorktown

    The Battle of Yorktown
    The Battle of Yorktown was one of the final Battles of the Revoultionary War. In the begging Genral Cornwallis made an unorthonized move and joined up with Brittsh troops in North Virginia. together, they marched and took over Yorktown. Little did they know they were being followed by Lafayette and other Continental troops. The Americans combined with the French. With the French attacking from the Sea and the Colonists attacking from the other side the Brittsh Sourenderd.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris was signed in sometime in september of 1783. This treaty ended the War between the Brittsh and the Americans. The Brittsh also signed treatys with Spain, France, and the Netherlands. Supposevly, the treaty was signed in the Hotel d'York.
