Reichstag Fire Decree
This law was put into place by President von Hindenburg. This law took away freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and the right for people to assemble. This meant that the government now could control what was being published to citizens of Germany. This is not fair because the soviets didn't know what was going on. -
Dachau Concentration Camp Opens
It was the first concentration camp that opened, and it was built to hold people who went against the Nazi party and those who were considered political opponents. This shows persecution because they would be put in a concentration camp for no reason and eventually died. -
Press Censorship Law
The German Propaganda Ministry kept registries of “racially pure” editors and journalists. New reporters had to register and show they were not Jewish. This wasn’t fair because they didn’t get the right information. -
Law for the Protection of German Blood and Honor
People who are Jewish can only marry Jews.They can't marry anybody that is not a Jew. This isn’t fair because they couldn’t marry who they wanted to marry. -
Nazi Soviet Pact
In August of 1939,German anti semitic propaganda linked jews with communism and depicted the Soviet Union. Despite this, Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union signed a secret pact, vowing not to attack each other for 10 years. This shows persecution to the soviet soldiers because Germany broke the pact. -
German Military Issues Commissar Order
To spread pro-communism and propaganda, to Soviet troops. This isn’t fair to soviet troops because they didn’t get the right information. -
Germany Invades the Soviet Union
Between SS and police and Wehrmacht invaded the Soviet union. This shows persecution to the soviet soldiers because they literally got invaded. -
Mass Murder Begins at Chelmno
To carry out the mass murder of Europe's Jews, the SS established killing centers devoted exclusively or primarily to the destruction of human beings in gas chambers. Chelmno was among these killing centers. This shows persecution because they would be murdered for no reason. -
Aleksandr Tolupow
He was persecuted because he was a soviet soldier prisoner and Hitler didn’t like prisoners so he was killed. -
Announcement of Death Penalty for Aiding Jews
Anyone who was caught helping a jew would be sent to Poland for a death penalty. This isn’t fair to soviet troops because they would be killed for helping jews.
