George Washington didn't want his citizens getting involved in the war whit Britain and France. so he made an act to stop trade with the countries but Britain started kidnapping sailors and putting them into the navy. -

John Adams wanted to strengthen the security of the US. This was to allow the president to in prison or deport aliens. Also allowed to in prison people who criticized the government. This plan failed because people made laws against this act. -

Colonies from Europe were becoming independent so US made a law so Europe could not rule there. which allowed america to take charge and make its own colonies. This changed the US foreign policy. -

Andrew Jackson past an act to have the Indian farm lands taken from them and used for the white man. These people had to be forced off there land to make more for the white.
