In 1883 G. Frank E. Pearsall received a patent for The Pearsall Compact Camera. Pearsall was a photographer who opened his own studio in the 1870s. -
In 1900, the Eastern Kodak Company made the Kodak Brownie box camera. The camera was originally priced at $1 which is equivalent to $31 today. -
Over the years, cameras were being made smaller and smaller. One type of camera was a Balda Baldina Kodak Colorsnap, the camera shown here. -
In the cameras became even more advanced. From 1971-81, the Canon F-1 was produced. Disposable cameras were also quite popular. The camera shown here is still very popular today. It is a Polaroid Instant camera that was released in 81. -
In the early 2000s, cameras were further improved with the first full-frame camera and cameras with built-in shake reductions, for clear and steady photo taking. -
