    In his rookie season, Kobe Bryant earned himself a reputation as a high-flyer and a fan-favorite by winning the 1997 Slam Dunk Contest. He also became the youngest NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Champion at 18 years, 175 days old.

    In 1999-2000, Kobe Bryant helped lead the Lakers to their first NBA title since the days of Magic Johnson.

    In 2003, Bryant was accused of sexual assault by a young woman in Colorado. She accused him of rape, but in 2004, a judge dismissed all charges against Bryant. Patrick Graber is shown with his attorney Peter Knecht in Los Angeles County Superior Court after being charged with offering to kill the woman who accused Kobe Bryant of rape for $3 million.
