    St. Augustine

    Was founded by Pedro Menéndez.
  • Roanoke

    The second colony for England. After the settlers left ships came from England with food and tools. When they saw that the settlers left they sailed back but fifteen stayed.
  • Jamestown

    There was 104 settlers and 39 sailers. They sailed to the new world for fortune.
  • Plymouth

    The settlers sailed on the mayflower. They came to the new world looking for freedom.
  • New Netherland

    The dutch founded it. trading postes were set up in these places: Albany, New York; Hartford, Connecticut; and Trenton, New Jersey.
  • Williamsburg

    English colonists founded it. It was the most important colony in Virginia.
  • Newsweeden

    The only swedish colony in america.
  • Pennsylvania Colony

    William Penn had almost all power over it. Thousands of settlers came with William for religious freedom and land.
