    The Wannsee Conference
    A meeting of senior political and military leaders to reach a formal agreement on implimenting the Final Solution to "The Jewish Problem". Despite this, however, it is believed a decison had already been made no later than November 1941 by the Nazis.
  • The Opening of Sobibor

    The Opening of Sobibor
    Sobibor was an extermination camp built near Lublin in an area of Poland under German occupation. It's construction was agreed at the Wannsee Conference. The camp was run by SS commandant Franz Stangl, who later commanded the camp at Treblinka. It is estimated about 250,000 people died at the Sobibor Extermination Camp. Following a revolt and subsequent escape of 800 prisoners in October 1943, the camp was closed by Himmler.

    The Nazis began to round up all the fit and able prisoners from concentration and extermination camps, and took them on forced marches. The sick and feeble were left behind to die, and many more died on the marches, which took place over incredibly long distances across countries.

    For some reason, even though it was already destroyed, it took another two months to liberate the prisoners. I assume the liberation scheme was lead by a really incompetent commander, or else nobody noticed there were prisoners.
