    The best selling book by Harrit Beecher Stowe was published on this date. This book told the horror stories of the slaves. How they lived,what the did, etc. Harrit Beecher Stowe was a white abolistionist. All the notherners that already disliked slavery band together even more to get rid of slavery.

    Harpers Ferry
    John Brown led a raid on the Hapers ferry arsenal. He was a northern white abolitionist leading a slave rebellion. Soilders caught Brown in the act, he was then convicted of treason and was hung on December 2nd, 1859.

    On this day Abraham Lincoln was elected president of the United States. Many of the soughterners didnt like him very well whiched caused problems in the future.

    Lincoln was shot on April 14th 1865 in Ford Theater. He and his wife were watching a play with another couple when John Wilks Booth snuck up to Lincoln's booth. Lincoln was carried over to a boarding house were he died the next day.
