They fought because they couldn’t come up with who would become king. After Remus made fun of Romulus, Romulus killed Remus and became the first king of Rome. I can infer that the princess hoped that the boys could grow up by putting them in a basket in the river. Also, this tells me that the she-wolf is a very important symbol of Rome.

“Founding of Rome,” offers the legend of Romulus and Remus and the birth of Rome. The princess got pregnant with a child, but the king wanted no male heirs. The princess turned out to have twins, 2 males. She threw both of them in the river for it was too hard for her to kill them. At any rate, a she wolf found the twins. She raised them until they grew to be responsible young adults until a farmer found the wolf and killed her. After Romulus and Remus grew up, they wanted to build a city.

The Etruscans Daily Life (part 1)
The Etruscans are a civilization ver similar to the one we live in now. They enjoyed dancing, sports, owning land and music. They liked watching or participating in sports like horse racing, running, wrestling and boxing. Some Etruscans played the flute or lyre. Most of the dancing or music they played connected to their religious beliefs. Men and women could dance and sing, unlike Greek or Latin women. Etruscan women could also own property.

The Etruscan's Tombs of Gold and Religious Beliefs (part 2 and 3)
In the beginning, Etruscans worshipped gods on outdoor areas. The Etruscans couldn’t concentrate enough outside though, so they ended up building temples made of clay and mud-bricks on a stone floor. These temples were embellished with many sculptures and paintings. The Etruscans thought the universe was divided into provinces and each god controlled a difference province. The west was ruled from the gods of death and the underworld. The east was dominated by the gods of heaven.

    Etruscans and Romans
“Etruscans and Romans” compares a recollection of how the Etruscans inspired Rome. I figured out a lot of Etruscan information from the book. The Romans got a lot of inspiration from the Etruscans. The Etruscans had many strong religious views, which served as a muse to many other civilizations. Romans also founded their cities from the Etruscan way. The concept of authority comes from the Etruscans and Romans. I can infer the Etruscans must have been an extremely civilized civilization.
