Due to a prophecy, the Aztecs move to lake Texcoco at the island Tenochtitlan where they found the sign of an eagle with a snake on a cactus which told them to settle in that area. -

The Spanish arrive at Tenochtitlan and attack the Aztec, and after many attacks the Spanish conquer the Aztec by allying with the Aztec's enemies, and the Aztec empire falls.
