    The Battle of Lexington and Concord started the Revolutionary War. Hundreds of redcoats walked from Boston to Concord to conquer to rebels weapon supply. They meet the rebels at Lexington and won the first battle of the war.

    This battle takes place in Massachusetts. This battle proved that the colonies could take on the British. It wasn't actually fought at Bunker Hill, it was actually fought on Breed’s Hill.

    The Decloration was the paper that stated our independence from Great Britian. It states all of the ways that the Americans wanted to run a country. We needed to start our own country because we thought we were not being treated right.

    The British brought a lot of men over on very high armored boats. The boats had canons and could easily take out New York. In the end, the British drove the rebels out of the the city.

    On the night of Christmas, Washington and his men crossed the Delaware river. It was not as easy as he had hoped, because of the terrible weather conditions. Yet, even the weather couldn't stop them from getting a win in Trenton.

    Washington was too smart to force 5000 of his weak troops to fight against the 8000 prepared British troops. Instead, he took the around back of the base, so the could take on less people. This battle left Washington and his men with most of New Jersey.

    This time, the Americans had to face almost 6000 British and Hessian troops. Even with 6000 soldiers, the British still ended up giving in the the Americans. This was huge win for the Americans.

    This event may not have been a gun fight, but it might have been harder. This was a 6 month battle against disease and lack of reasorces. Over this time, many troops died from smallpox and others were weak and lucky to survive.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    This last battle was one where the Colonists had the advantage, 17000 to 9000. This might only be because they had the French on there side in this fight. There, the British surrendered there army to the Americans and the war was over. But at the surrender ceremony, the British general sent his second in command to surrender for him.

    This treaty ended the Revoluntionary War. The Colonists had done the impossibe, beaten the British. The treaty let them free from Great Brittin. Now the Americans were finally free.
