    Fredonian Rebellion
    The constitution of 1824 was similar to the Texas Constitution. The Fredonian Rebellion was the first attempt by Anglo settlers in Texas to secede from Mexico. The settlers, led by Empresario Haden Edwards, declared independence from Mexican Texas and created the Republic of Fredonia near Nacogdoches.

    Mier y Teran report on the commission, he recommended that strong measures be taken to stop the United States from acquiring Texas. He suggested additional garrisons surrounding the settlements, closer trade ties with Mexico, and the encouragement of more Mexican and European settlers.

    The law explicitly banned any further immigration from the United States to Texas and any new slaves. The other parts of the law are going to go to the people already living in Texas.

    On June 13, 1832, a group of Anglo-American settlers adopted a resolution called the Turtle Bayou Resolution. hey declared that they were supporting Santa Anna who was a very popular leader trying to overthrow Anastasio Bustamante.

    The battle of Gonzalez

    The battle of Gonzales happened on October 2, 1835. The war happened because The Mexican government gave the Texians a cannon to protect themselves from the Native Americans attacks. The Texians got a wedding dress and black ink, and put the words " COME AND TAKE IT". The Mexican government gave no cannon balls so they got scrap metal and shot them. Both the battle of Lexington and the battle of Gonzalez were the first battles of the revolution.

    Benjamin R. Milam is part of the Texas army. The battle was a siege between the Mexican government and Santa Anna. The battle was a sneak attack. 300 soldiers and Milam attack San Antonio.

    The siege of the Alamo lasted thirteen days. The famous battle cry is called "Remember the Alamo". Juan Seguin served as a scout. Susannah Dickinson and her daughter, Angelina, survived with a couple of slaves. No one survived the Siege.

    The Declaration of Independence was wrote on March 2, 1836. It was to claim independence from Mexico. Also known as the Convention of 1836. Texas copied the United States of America's Declaration of Independence.

    The Texians panicked & hysteria when they heard the Mexican troops were swarming. The Texians thought the Native Americans were going to raid Texas.

    Massacre of Goliad

    Sam Houston is in charge of the Texian army. The Texas army died with no survivors, Fannin also. The troops were slow because of all the extra cannons and extra weapons. Colonel Jones did not abandon Goliad until March 19, like he was suppose to.

    The twin sisters are a pair of cannons controlled by the Texas Army. The battle took place in San Jacinto. The battle lasted 18 minutes. Santa Anna was captured because he admitted defeat.
  • The treaty of Velasco

    The treaty of Velasco
    The treaty of Velasco ended the Texas Revolution. Texas was not recognized until then. Mexico signed the treaties. The treaty of Velasco was after the battle of San Jacinto.
