    After president William McKinley was assassinated, Roosevelt became the new president in his place. Becoming the youngest president at that time at 42.

    Coal miners fought for higher wages, shorter work days, and wanted their workers union to be recognized. After it ended the work day was shortened by an hour and wages were raised by 10%.

    After monopolists Rockefeller and Morgan cooperated to create the northern securities company and owned a majority of roads and railroads across the US, Roosevelt inquired that the company had violated the Anti-Sherman act and sued the Northern Securities Company and broke them up.
