In addition to twitter, I can use this blog to collaborate with educators.

By this date, I want to have successfully used Gaggle in my classroom. I was absent the day of the training and do not feel confident with the tool, but know it will be a great tool in my classroom. Gaggle can be used for student email, monitored blogging, dropbox and assignment submission, collaborative writing, flipped lessons (with embedded video) and much more.

During third quarter students explore the essential question: How does societies expectations of me impact who I am? I want to add a blog component to this unit to make students feel like their voices are heard by a real audience. I have never had students blog before, but I think this unit will be a great fit!

I would like to write and submit at least one grant to receive iPads (or funding for iPads) for my classroom. I know I may not necessarily get the grant, but it's worth a try.

This is the final course in the 3 course certificate program.

Each year I have my eighth graders complete a cumulative project that incorporates original writing and art and found literature that students select to represent who they are--their beliefs, interests, passions and personalities. This year I want to add an iPad component. This is in the beginning stages of planning, but I want to explore apps and possibilities and reserve the iPads well in advance.

This summer I want to spend time experimenting with video creation, editing and sharing. I know I will need some time to accomplish this and that is why summer break is perfect!

This year I will no longer be taking grad school courses, but I want to stay connected with people I have met in the technology courses (students and professors) to stay current with technology. I also plan to stay connected to Twitter. I have access to some of the best online resources and articles through Twitter (and the people I follow).
