    Once Apple went public Jobs brought on then head of Pepsi-Cola John Sculley to be the new chief executive. The debut of the Macintosh came with great reviews but unexpected low sales. This put a great financial strain on the company and Sculley decided to remove Jobs from the company. Jobs decided to create NeXT after he left, the company would focus on more sophisticated systems for business and higher education.

    When Jobs was ousted from Apple he created NeXT, as well as buying The Graphics Group from Lucasfilm and eventually changed the name to Pixar. In 2006 Disney acquired Pixar in a deal worth 7.4 billion dollars.

    Apple decided to buy Jobs' new company NeXT. Jobs was brought back on and Sculley was fired. Jobs became the interim CEO and then in 2000 the full time CEO.
