    A Bronchoalveolar Lavage is method to diagnose people with infections of the lower respiratory airways by sampling the epithelial lining fluid to determine the protein composition of the pulmonary airways.

    The Wuhan Central Hospital received a message from Vision Medicals in GuangZhou that the BAL sample taken on the 24th December showed evidence of a new coronavirus, so the patient was quarantined. At the same time, a new BAL sample was sent to CapitalBio Medlab in Beijing for further analysis.

    Mainstream french media revealed in May 2020 that there was a case of the SARS-CoV-2 on this day in France. This changed everyone's view on the timeline of the spread of the SARS-CoV-2, by shifting everything earlier.     The first death from the virus occurred in a 61-year-old man who was a regular customer at the market. He had several significant medical conditions, including chronic liver disease, and died from heart failure and pneumonia. The incident was reported in China by the health commission via Chinese state media 2 days later.

However, BatCoV-RaTG13 still remains the closest relative to the SARS-CoV-2, with a 96.18% match.
    In May, scientists think that the SARS-CoV-2 is a chimera of the pangolin and bat coronaviruses, which means that it is a hybrid of both.

    There was a decrease in 21 million cellphone subscriptions in China. This caused many theories that this "proved" that China is lying about the deaths and how there supposedly was 21 million deaths. However, there is no solid evidence for this theory.
    Officially, the reason for this is that business and social activities have reduced greatly since the outbreak, and there has been no evidence to debunk this.

    The hashtag #FilmYourHospital is part of the Right-wing conspiracy theory that hospitals were in fact not overcrowded and that the quarantine is overreacting. They went to some hospitals close to them and saw that there was no unusual traffic in those hospitals, leading them to believe that the quarantine was not required. However, they do not believe that the numbers given by the government is enough evidence for the severity of the situation

    No, it does not. This is a scientifically disproven, yet surprisingly common view on this topic and is only used by people that wanted to push an agenda to remove 5G towers.
    The date of the event isn't that important, but it is one of the earlier events of 5G towers being burned down in UK. Even after this day, up until May, many 5G towers, generally in the western world, are being burned down by those who believe this conspiracy theory.

    This documentary was made by the senior investigator reporter in Epoch Times and tried to prove that the "CCP virus" was made in a laboratory in Wuhan. This video has 2 million views and is one of the reason why this conspiracy theory is so wide spread.

    This is not really a conspiracy theory, but just misinformation and xenophobia in general. In the US and the western world, Asians were all discriminated against for "having the coronavirus" even though they did not.

    A piece by Infowars, run by a very well-known Conspiracy Theorist, stated that the Gates Foundation "co-hosted a pandemic exercise in late 2019 that simulated a global coronavirus outbreak."
    A Fox News host also tweeted that Bill Gates wants to digitally track every American's every move and that this is the perfect time to do so. As Fox News is a very popular news outlet, this is one of the main reasons that this conspiracy theory is so widespread.

    A couple saw Trump's press conference that championed the anti-malarial drug called Hydroxychloroquine. They then mistook their fish tank cleaner that contains Chloroquine phosphate and then consumed it, hospitalising both of them.

    Trump states that he has seen evidence that the SARS-CoV-2 originated in a lab in Wuhan. This was in contradiction to a public statement from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, who stated that "no such assessment has been made".
    As Trump is a public figure, this will cause this conspiracy to spread further than it did prior to Trump's speech
  • Is hydroxychloroquine a good treatment to CoVid-19? [Conspiracy Theory]

    During a roundtable event in the White House, Trump stated that he was consuming hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malarial drug that has yet to be proven as a treatment to CoVid-19, and has a chance to kill the person consuming it.
    Trump has been an avid supporter of using hydroxychloroquine for months. However, there still has not been any evidence for this being an actual cure for the coronavirus

    Many airlines and countries are canceling flights to and from China. The remaining flights require those that have been to China recently to undergo quarantine for 14 days and those that have the passport of that country to undergo a self-imposed quarantine. While they have not released a travel ban, many governments have released an advisory to not travel to China. This time span is not how long the cancellations will occur, but when the governments announced the cancellations.
