    Christopher Columbus set off to find a quicker yet easier route to India. When he finds land he actually finds the Bahamas. He said they are in India, but everyone knows there not. On their way, they find gold and many more treasures. Soon enough they go back and the rumors spread. Now everyone wants to go to India and explore. This lead to finding North America. Without this, North America may never been found.

    1512-1540. His goal was to find the 7 cities of gold. Coronodo looked for the 7 cities of gold, But actually, the 7 cities of gold were Indian villages. Fray Marcos was killed by Coronado because there was no such thing as the 7 cities of gold. The cities were Cibola and Qurevia.

    Cortes just wanted gold, so his crew went out to find gold. They landed in Mexico.They ran in to the Aztecsa and the leader Montezuma. Cortes conqured both.Later he found 99 tons of gold and had 6 millon dollars worth of gold in 1570. He started the intrest of many perope to go to North and South America.

    Pineda wanted to find a new route to the Pacific Ocean. He was the first to map the Gulf Coat to Florida to Texas. When he got back, people wanted to explore land on the Gulf Coast. Also he may hav discovered the Rio Grande River in Texas.

    De Vaca goal as to help Narvez find gold.He was the first to explore texas, first to write about the TX indians, and performed the first ''surgery'' as a medicine man.He explored though 1528-1537.They stated their exploration in FL.Their boat waited for them, but they took to long and thought they died.So the boats went to Cuba.With 300 men stranded on Florida, they decied to make boats and go to Cuba. While out at sea, a storm made them go to TX. Years later they reach Spain and tell them.

    Estaban was the frst black masn in Tx he was killed by the Zunis demanding their women and food. Fray Marcos reported seeing the most bueatiful grand and golden city. They discovered Tx. and New Mexico.

    Moscoso
    1539-1542 Moscoso goal was to search for gold. Discovered the Mississippi river. Explored Florida to Texas. Moscoso took over De Soto. De Soto died at the Mississippi river. DeSoto liked to wear armor so the Indians thought he was a God. When he died soldiers tried to hide his death and bury him. The indians became suspicious and so the soldiers dug him up and threw him in the Mississippi river.
