When De Vaca was in Texas, he had one goal.That was to survive.When Coronado was in Texas, he wanted gold and to conquer.That is why Coronado said the Indians were bad and that there was no gold.Also, when De Vaca was in Texas, he had no clothes.Coronado was stuck in a really hot suit of armor the whole time,so he said it had harsh land.

De Vaca sailed from Florida to Galveston in man made barges. Soon his leader left him, and a gale crashed his ship and he landed Galveston's shores. He met nice Indians who gave him food and water, but when he tried to get his boat back into the water, he lost all of his clothes. The Indians offered housing and soon De Vaca and Estaban were forced to be medicine men. When De Vaca preformed the first surgery, he became really well known. Later, they escaped and made it back to Mexico.

Fray Marcos and Estaban explored to Sibola, which was a myth about 7 cities of gold. Estaban, who used to be a medicine man for Indians, came in and demanding women and gold and was killed.Fray Marcos saw an adobe village, and when he returned he claimed he saw a city bigger than Mexico city and mislead farther expeditions.

Coranado first journeyed to texas to find cibola.When he got to sibola, he figured out it was just an indian village and burned 200 of the indians on stakes. Then Turk, an Indian, told them about Quivera. That turned out just to be anothert wild goose chase and they killed Turk. When coronado returned, his voyage was considered a failure and he died of a horse kick in the head.He said no one should go to Texas.
