    Christopher Columbus went to the Bahamas (which he tought was India) to look for spcices, drugs, silk, etc. What he found were Indians (native americans) who were unbelievebly kind to him and gave him many gifts.It was important that he found this because it gave knowledge to Spain that there was uncharted land, and wealth there.

    Hernán Cortés conquered Mexico and the Aztecs. It was important because it led intrest in exploring the new world. Cortés was able to conwuer the Aztecs because they had aid from other tribes, they hade iron and armor, and the Aztecs thought Cortés was a god.

    De Vaca landed on Galveston almost starved and semi naked. The Karankawa took th to thier camp for food and shelter . They gave De Vaca and his men shelter, food, clothes ,and weapons. Mot of Devcas men died in the first winter.De vVaca and thee other men were found in Mexico eight years after thier journey began.

    In this expedition Estebanreturns toTexas with a Frair named Fray Marcos. He came back to Texas to look for the seven cities o gold and is killed there. Fray survives and tells Spain of a city tht is bigger than Meico city made of gold.

    Coronado went looking for the seven cities of gold with Fray Marcos after hearingbout the city. He arives in Cibola and see's adobe brick houses he kills 200 indians there. a man called Turk was sent to get him out of the city so he led him to Quivera where Coronado kills him.

    Moscoso's expedition was to follow Pineda's route and find gold.He did not find gold and reported that Texas had nothing to offer and mean indians. His report had Spain stay out of Texas for 150 years.
