DeVaca's journey to Texas was a disaster from the beginning. A bunch of accidents plagued his expedition's while they explores north Florida. Then the survivers made five boats and were headed to sea, which for other conflicts they had to go back to shore. DeVaca's shipwrecked on Galveston, TX. with only 80 survivors. DeVaca was in Texas for 4 years trying to survive by trading with the indians. He met the Karankawa Indians, Coahuiltecan Indians, and the Jumano Indians.
