Then Turk a Zuni tries to save his people by saying that he would lead the spaniards to Quivera a place which was made of gold and run by amazon women, once Coronado finds out it was fake he tortures Turk, The importance today of the journey is that they discovered the Grand Canyon, and the Palo Duro Canyon.
