Christopher Columbus

Christopher Columbus wanted to sail to Asia , but sailed to the wrong direction and discovered North and South America. This was important, because he wnted fame and he was he first to explore North and South America.

Cortes

Feb 1, 1519

Cortes conquered Mexico and the Aztec tribe in February 1519, this was important because he found 99 tons of gold in Mexico and it started to make people to explore North and South America.

Pineda Voyage

Jun 2, 1519

Pineda was the first person to map the Texas Coast and this is important, because this gave people an idea of where Texas was and it made them sail there.

DeVaca Voyage's

DeVaca and Esteban were the first to explore Texas with there leader Narvez. DeVaca wanted to explore Texas, because he heard that there was 7 cities of gold and they wanted that gold and more riches.
It all happened in 1527.
DeVaca was in Texas for 2 years in Texas.
DeVaca met Jumano, Coahuiltecan, and Karankawa.

Moscoso's Expedition

oscoso and De Soto both discovered the Mississippi River.
His leader was De Soto.
De Soto died of fever in May 21, 1542.

Coronados Expedition

oronado discovered Texas Palo Duro and Arizona--Grand Canyon. His guide was Turk, leading him to Quivera. Coronado searched North Texas--Panhandle and Quivera. Coronado wanted to find riches and gold.
