    Frar Marcos and Esteban Purpose of their journey was to study the land to the north and to verify the 7 cities of gold. Frar Marcos reported seeing a city filled with gold bigger than Mexico City. He said he didnt go in it because he thought Zuni Indians might be there and want to kill him.

    Desoto was the leader. The purpose for this expedition was to search for gold.Desoto died so Moscoso became the leader. He reported Texas has nothing to offer for the SPanish and because of his and Coronado's report Spain didn't return for 150 years.

    Coronado's expeditions purpose was to find gold for Spain. He was looking for the 2 cities of gold reported by Friar Marcos. (Quivera and Cibola). This expedition was important since because Coronado reported texas was not a good place to explore, SPain didn't return with any major epeditions for 150 years.
