Columbus sailed for Spain in 1492 and the purpose that he sailed was to fined a new rout to Asia . in Aug. 3 ,1492 the landed in the Caribbean. he found people and he called them Indians and then he went back to Spain and got many more ships and killed a lot of Indians. he he clamed land for spain and toled them there was gold. he died may 20, 1506

Cortes was a greedy man and when he heard about the new world he waned to go to find gold and get rich.he left in 1519 and landed in mexico. and he was mean o the Indians and forced them to give him there gold. and he took the astech empire down witch were in mexico at the time. and he came back to Spain with lot of gold and that sparked the exploration of the new world
