  • Polar Practice

    Polar Practice
Since I was on a college visit today, it was not until the car ride home that I could practice polar from the slide homework. I had not gotten today's review sheets, but chose to look over my answers for both the blue and white polar practice. I had the most difficulty determining which bounds to use, especially when analyzing a loop. I still do not fully understand how to find intersecting points that do not occur at the same time. I plan to review that process further.
  • Differential Equations

    Differential Equations
Today I began the Differential equations worksheet. I need to make sure that I show all my work up to the last step so I do not lose variables. I am not very confident about domain, but more than not I end up with the right answer. For number one, I was unsure about how to manipulate it to be the correct answer, but soon after realized my error.
  • Integration

    Integration
I began my Integration worksheet, and finished the free response of the differentiation worksheet. In the differentiation worksheet, I found I wasn't confident with the integral of f(t^(1/3)). I wasn't sure if there was chain rule associated with it. I also wasn't sure about what work they expect for part c. For the beginning of the integration worksheet, I did not know if we could use a calculator for #4, but I was unable to figure it out without the calculator.
  • Integration part 2

    Integration part 2
I finished the integration worksheet today. I have to review the MVT but I will understand it when I look it over. When I first attempted it, I got the wrong answer, so my memory of that process is not as sharp as it should be.
  • Taylor series

    Taylor series
I completed the tiny worksheet with the 1971 AP practice question. I definitely need to review Taylor series. This section right now seems to be weaker than series themselves. I also need to memorize the power series and intervals of convergence.
  • Convergent & Divergent / Basic Integration Rules

Convergent & Divergent / Basic Integration Rules
I completed the two worksheets in the title. I did pretty well on the convergence tests, and looked on the back only a few times. For basic integration I remembered all but two, and so I need to memorize which one is which for the last two before I've rememorized them all! I remember doing absolute convergence but do not remember for which test that is, so I should review that as well.
  • Calculator Free-Response and Corrections

    Calculator Free-Response and Corrections
First and foremost, I changed the 3 minor errors in my basic integration rules! I will definitely re-revisit them!! They will be excellent things to put on flashcards, as will the taylor polynomials. Section A of the free response wasn't too bad!
The main problem I had was extrapolating the bounds from the third question.
  • Partner Test and Free-Response. but wait, there's more!

Partner Test and Free-Response. but wait, there's more!
Today was the first day of the practice exam. Bortvin and I did pretty well, if I do say so myself. We got stuck on a couple, but were able to come back to it and make a super-well educated guess. Then, at home I did the free-response, and more free-response.
  • Test Duo, day deux

    Test Duo, day deux
Once again, Bortvin and I were a power-house pair when it came to that test. As per usual, we found some snags, but all in all I feel we did well, at least with an AP curve. For homework there was no shortage of calculus as I had some free-response to do! I did have to use my notes for these, which is legal! The notes were helpful but the downside is that I had some snags on these.
  • Advanced Integration techniques

    Advanced Integration techniques
I got a head-start on this worksheet in lunch, which gave me time to look over my notes after school! I found out the difference between the two remainder tests, and when to use them.
  • Blast of review

    Blast of review
We breezed through sequences and series and taylor and all those convoluted calculus problems. It made me feel better about all that I had to know about those parts, because the content of it seemed manageable to review. I finished the worksheet for tomorrow, and started on the taylor review.
  • More taylor review and work correction

More taylor review and work correction
We went over the extra free-responses in class. I could have done better on those, which was a bit frightening. I would like to look over those in better detail, but going over them in class was helpful. I still "got a five" with the combination of Bortvin and my scantron score. I started going over polar review for the names of the shapes.
  • MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU

MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU
A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away..... It is a period of calculus review. Two jedi joined alliances to fight against the AP calculus test. During the battle, they reviewed the whole kit and kaboodle. Then pursued by the other AP tests, Sophia ran home to do more review to save herself from bad ap scores. (Tulsi and I reviewed together).
  • Happy Easter! (no calculus sunday :/)

Happy Easter! (no calculus sunday :/)
Today is Greek Easter! yay! The image shows the cracking of hard boiled eggs. You crack the dyed eggs with your family, and the last person with an uncracked side wins!
  • Review paper

    Review paper
Today in class we re-iterated the concepts I went over with Tulsi on Saturday, and within that, straightened out some of the kinks. The one seemingly impossible problem was actually pretty straight forward!!! :) And as did last year's, this year's calculus "if you see this...then do this.." worksheet made me feel better about what is to be expected!
  • Day before prep

    Day before prep
I was accepted into CMU today! More exciting than that, I got ready for the calculus exam tomorrow! I looked over KYSC, and seemed to know it cold! I went over that green chart from before, as well. I always seem to Le Get LaGrange wrong, but that is minor and is being currently fixed!
  • GAME DAY

    GAME DAY
The game was today, we fought hard, we fought well. Overall, the test was pretty good. I usually think AP tests are worse than they are, and when you add in the curve, it was pretty good overall. I liked the non-calculator parts of both multiple choice and free-response much better than calculator. That's simply because of the problems asked, because I'm pretty comfortable with the TI-Inspire CAS, and never had trouble plugging it into the calculator.
